Assigned Certification
Required under the Building Control (Amendment Regulations) 2014 the Assigned Certifier is appointed by the building or works owner. The Assigned Certifiers role is to demonstrate all regulations have been considered during the design stage and completed on site during construction. They act as a coordinator between client, design team, and builder to help facilitate overall compliance and certification of the project. The assigned certifier prepares and implements an inspection plan in consultation with the client, design and build teams. It is the assigned certifier’s role to ensure all certificates and documentation are sourced for the project and act as a single point of contact with the Building Control authority to meet a successful conclusion.
