Snag Inspection (New Build)
A snagging inspection is typically carried out once a property has been built and prior to a solicitor completing the purchase transaction. It is recommended that the inspection be completed before moving into the property. This ensures snag items are not attributed to the purchaser and allows sufficient time for the developer to rectify. When moving into a new property the last thing a purchaser needs is to find issues and then have to deal with the developer to resolve these items. Here at DFY Building Consultants we provide a thorough, clear, and concise report identifying snags for our clients. After the report is issued a follow-up call is completed. We can also act on behalf of our clients and deal with the developer. Our goal at DFY Building Consultants is to reduce any stress associated with a new move.
Typical items inspected include:
Exterior and interior wall finishes
Rainwater sundries and roof finish.
Floor finishes.
Electrical fixings.
Timber work.
Bathroom and kitchen fixings.
Windows and doors including hardware.
Attic condition and finishes.
Building services (internal and external).
